The two professionals engineered the best result and Dr. Anderkvist matched my few remaining teeth to the implants by bleaching and veneers.More than 15 years have passed. I moved away but return to Los Angeles on a regular basis to see Dr. Anderkvist and his staff. A priceless advantage of this annual visit is the constant vigilance Dr. Anderkvist provides to keep my teeth and implants healthy.A surprising benefit is the minor adjustments he is able to occasionally make to compensate for the fundamental structure change of aging to my face and mouth. The result of adding slightly (a millimeter or two) to the structure of my teeth offsets the usual droop of the mouth, thin lips and hollow cheeks. The small adjustment makes my lips appear fuller, lifts the corners of my mouth by subtly pushing the lips back up and out and lengthens just slightly the distance from my nose to chin. It is, in my opinion , better than cosmetic dentistry surgery and helps retain my beautiful smile.I have a long and grateful history with Dr. Anderkvist and can recommend him without hesitation or qualification.
Potential Drawbacks to using All-on-4 Dental Implants
Should a single one of the All-on-4 dental implants under-perform, your entire restoration will be for naught and must be re-done with more conventional methods.If bone loss within the patient’s mouth is very significant the All-on-4 technique becomes difficult-to-impossible to successfully complete – a more conventional dental implant approaches must be used. The All-on-4 dental implantation itself may accelerate atrophy at the rear of the jaw.
