If you have a higher level of fear and anxiety, you may require a higher level of sedation, in the form of a prescription sedative pill. Under oral sedation, you will remain conscious but, in most cases, will have no memory of your dental treatment.

If your dental anxiety is severe, or in the event that you want to proceed with multiple treatment procedures, then IV sedation is probably the method for you.
As the name implies, this sedation is delivered through an IV tube. Make no mistake, these sedatives will put you completely under and, when you come out of it, you will have no memory of any procedures.
